I’m a Senior Staff Service Engineer with 10+ years of experience supporting OEMs through NPI launches, test and validation, OTA campaign management, and complex diagnostic support.

I specialise in troubleshooting bumper-to-bumper vehicle issues like complex networking (Automotive ETH, CAN + FD, LIN), Infotainment, High Voltage and Charging while improving diagnostic platforms and software logic. 

I leverage this deep vehicle knowledge to query and visualise terabytes of fleet data using SQL and Python, translating raw telemetry into actionable engineering insights for fleet-wide issues and driving root cause analysis with various engineering stakeholders with a software-first mindset to maximise customer satisfaction and minimise downtime while reducing company impact and cost. 

I also support accelerating test and validation in the EMEA region, the first person on the ground in new regions supporting out-of-market test vehicles with charging, connectivity, data acquisition and instrumentation. Proficient with Git, I build and deploy custom software packages from development repositories to enable rapid, self-sufficient testing cycles for global teams without the impact of large timezone deltas. 

I’ve supported European homologation efforts and conducted global testing trips in Alaska, Saudi Arabia, Norway, Kenya and the UAE, both on and off-road.

I’m comfortable with a wide range of software and hardware industry standard tools, like: 

CANape, CANalyzer, PCAN Explorer, Python (Pandas, Matplotlib, Plotly), SQL, Databricks, Linux CLI, Git, Jira, Confluence, Jama, CanEdge, AWS (S3, Lambda, Athena).

I grew up in Scotland, but now I’m living in Surrey with my girlfriend and our son. Being a dad is a big part of my life—it’s busy, fun, and always keeps me on my toes.

When I have some downtime, I like diving into my hobbies—flying drones, photography, and just getting out to new places. I shoot with a Sony A7RV,DJI Mini Pro 4 or Avata 2. I enjoy the mix of creativity and tech and the constant challenge of finding fresh perspectives.
